Initially I
will be putting in 3x 2TB drives and configure the unit as RAID 5. If I
add another 2TB drive in the future, is the expansion automatic, or do I
have to move the data off the unit to reconfigure it and then move the
data back?
Answer
No, the Home
Series does not support online capacity expansion or migration. If you
add another drive, it will be shown as a separate volume, otherwise you
will need to backup your data and re-configure your RAID set using all
the drives.
