The
advancement of 12Gb/s SAS connectivity
allows the new ARC-4038ML 8-Bay SAS
unit to transfer end-to-end 12Gb/s
storage speed between the storage
enclosure and the host computer when
combined with the
Areca ARC-1226-8X or ARC-1883X PCIe RAID Controller.
The ARC-4038ML is the affordable,
performance driven storage solution for
any digital data workflow.
The ARC-4038 supports
12Gb/s SAS/SATA HDDs or SSDs. But still
backwards compatible with 6Gb/s drives
which take advantage of the latest
Integrated DataBolt technology which
allows for bandwidth optimization,
buffering
6Gb/s data and then transfers it out to
the host at 12Gb/s speeds in order to
match the bandwidth between faster hosts
and slower SAS or SATA devices. Supports multi-steam SD, DVCPRO HD, Apple ProRes 422/444, HD, UHD, 2K, 4K, 8K and uncompressed video workflows with ease.
